I have always loved dogs. I have a very special connection with them. I got my first dog on my fifth birthday. He was a rascally little guy and lived until the ripe old age of 15 ½. When I was ten, I volunteered at the SPCA in Los Angeles. My job was to take the dogs that needed exercise out to the "play area," which was basically a fenced-in patio with a little bit of grass around it. I usually just let
them do their thing - run around or just chill out in the quiet of the play area. They all got lots of petting from me.
On walks, my philosophy is that the dog should be having as much fun as I am (or more). I am thrilled to be doing what I love – walking and playing with dogs – as a career.
